Woodturned Bowls Gallery 4

This 12 inch woodturned bowl is made from Ash (Fraxinus Excelsoir) which is native to the United Kingdom. This woodturning is the work of Chris Ashton who uses a Record CL4 lathe. In this example, I particularly like the variety of colour which together with the wide rim adds interest.

You can see the beauty of the spalted beech wood in the pictures of the bowl above. This bowl is approximately 12 inches in diameter and is another lovely example of the work of Chris Ashton from England. If you like Chris's work and are ever near Derbyshire in the Peak District, visit the picturesque village of Tideswell, then look out for the village bakery and delicatessen, Tindalls, where Chris always has a number of woodturned bowls for sale.
